How To Make Money As A Broke College Student

Money is something that pretty much every college student needs. It’s not so easy working a standard part time job as a full time student. Here are some ways to make quick cash as a student. I know the struggle of looking for ways to make money, that don’t include taking online surveys.

Disclaimer: I have used all of these within the last year and have found success. What works for me, may not work for you. (Although, I think it will)

Start Your Own Business

This is easier than you think. Your business doesn’t have to be an e- commerce brand and you can sell something or provide a service that is in high demand. Becoming a lash or nail tech has become increasingly popular. Investing a few hundred dollars into a trade can be worth it when you look at the return on investment. .

Freelance

There are many platforms that you can sell your services on. If you possess any talents at all whether it’s writing, art, music, or anything really you can utilize Fiverr to make money. It’s simple, you make a profile stating your niche and the customers come to you.

Instacart

This is one of the quickest ways to get your hands on some extra cash. Instacart essentially is a grocery delivery service that hires shoppers to shop for and deliver people’s groceries to them. All you need is a car, a license, and a clean background. I got approved within 30 minutes of me signing up and started shopping right away.

Tutor/Babysit

Tutoring is one of the easiest ways to make money. Advertise your services in the library bulletin board, student center, etc. You’ll definitely get some hits! There are so many students looking for help in every subject. You can take the same business strategy with offering your babysitting services, except maybe expand to advertising in coffee shops. You can charge anywhere from $10-$25 an hour for your services.

Start A Blog

This will take a little bit more time to actually make money, but the return on your effort will be worth it! You can monetize your blog by using affiliate links, paid partnerships, and displaying advertisements.

Find a niche a stick to it! This is the best way to grow your platform.
